MOU Signing With Standard Chartered Bank

Care Foundation and standard chartered Bank Signed a MOU(Memorandum of Understanding) on Tuesday, 30th June, 2009 to support brilliant students, with financial constraints, of CARE supported schools throgh their higher education. ther ceremony was held at CARE teacher trainning center. CARE Foundation Chairperson Mrs. Seema Aziz and Mr. Aamir Hussain,(General Manager Central and Norht) of Standard Chartered signed the Mou. CARE Foundation committee member Mrs. Aneela Shah and other senior Executives of the bank were also present on the occasion.

CARE annual fundraiser 2009

Building on the success of its previous fundraisers, CARE in injunction with The National Association of Performing Arts (NAPA) staged a play penned by Mr.Intezar Hussain, entitled“ Khwabon Kay Musafir”, from 2nd to 4th May 2009 . The opening night of the play was followed by a dinner held on the lawns of the Alhamra Arts Council.   Students from different academic institutions of Lahore capably performed usher duties and some CARE students adeptly conducted compeering duties.

CARE career Counseling Program 2009

The recently held Career Counseling sessions at Care Foundation (TTC) on the 18th and 19th of June 2009 were a huge success with many students gaining valuable information regarding their future plans. There were two separate sessions conducted with 80 boys and 70 girls, respectively. For each session there were qualified professional advisors namely Dr. Huma Izhar, Mr.Shahid A. Malik and Mr.Abid Aziz, who skillfully imparted knowledge about the diverse spectrum of opportunities they will find beyond the parameters of the professional world.

Summer Internship Program ‘08
Like every year, students from different schools and colleges joined CARE’s Summer Internship Program ’08. The program, which started on 3rd June ’08, included a briefing on CARE Foundation, visits to CARE Schools, and conducting classes and arrangement of activities such as debates, art, and singing competitions for students. The students were given certificates at the end of internship program. The internship program was an ideal platform for a productive and educational interaction between interns and CARE students.
 
 
ACCESS – UN Simulation Model Workshop
CARE ACCESS students arranged a Model United Nations Conference on August 9, 2008. The simulation model workshop involved discussion and passing resolutions on current world issues such as, Terrorism, inflation etc. 80 ACCESS students who had enthusiastically carried out detailed research on 30 countries took part in the event and left the guests spellbound by the confidence and fluency which they displayed.
